What Data I Collect

I collect the following information to provide my services:

• Via the contact form: your name, email address, preferred language, and any message you choose to include.
• If we begin working together: name, date of birth, phone number, email address, home address, and an emergency contact (name and number of a trusted person).

Why I Collect Data (Lawful Basis)

For initial enquiries via the contact form, I process your data on the basis of your explicit consent, given when you tick the consent checkbox.

For ongoing therapeutic work, data is processed on the basis of contract — it is needed to fulfil the therapeutic agreement between us.

How I Store Your Data

Contact form submissions are processed securely through Netlify.

Any digital contact details or emails related to therapeutic work are stored on encrypted devices. Any handwritten session notes are anonymised (using initials or codes) and kept in a locked filing cabinet.

Records are retained for 7 years after the final session, as required by professional insurance. After this period, they are securely destroyed.

Confidentiality & Sharing

Your information is never sold. Data is only shared in these limited circumstances:

• Clinical supervision: work is discussed with a qualified supervisor to ensure best practice. Your identity remains anonymous.
• Safety or legal requirements: if there is a belief of risk of serious harm to yourself or others, or if legally compelled by a court of law.
• Therapeutic will: in the event of sudden incapacity, a designated professional colleague will have access to contact details to inform you.

Your Rights

Under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, you have the right to:

• Request a copy of the personal data I hold about you
• Request correction of any inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Withdraw your consent at any time

Cookies

This website uses privacy-respecting analytics (Plausible) that do not use cookies or collect personal data. No cookie consent is required for the basic functioning of this website.

Complaints

If you have concerns about how your data is handled, please contact me first. If we cannot resolve the issue, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
